Return Policy

 

DUE TO COVID-19, NO RETURN IS ACCEPTED ON ALL IN STORE PURCHASES.

 

General Return Policy

  1. All items must be returned within 3 days of purchase to be eligible for refund or store credit.
  2. Original store receipt or purchase confirmation is required on all returns.
  3. Original store receipt or purchase confirmation dated within 3 days of purchase is required for all returns.
  4. No returns will be accepted after 3 days of purchase for in store purchases.
  5. No returns will be accepted after 3 days of delivery for online purchases.
  6. Merchandise must be in new condition, unused and unwashed and in its original packaging.
  7. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment according to the specifications stipulated per refund policy

 

Exceptions / Non-returnable Items

Due to health and sanitary reasons certain products are not returnable under any conditions,  these include all personal grooming products including fragrances, deodorants, etc.; all hair products including wigs, hair extensions, weave products, braid accessories, etc.; all beauty and skin care productions including lotions, soaps etc. Additionally, all edible goods cannot be returned (such as grocery items, food products, health food, wellness products, or herbal items), and returns are not allowed on all perishable goods (such as flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

African Unique does not accept returns on sale items, clearance items, or gift cards.

 

 

Return Policy for Online Orders

  1. All Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.
  2. Some merchandise are subject to a re-stocking fee. This is stated on the individual product pages.
  3. Many of our vendor-fulfilled items (special orders) may need to be returned to the specified vendor. Please refer to address on your packing slip.
  4. Items purchased online can only be returned by mail. Please see our refund policy for how your account will be credited.
  5. We do not offer an exchange program for items returned by mail. You must place a new order at africanunique.com for any desired new items. Please note you will be charged for shipping and handling on your new order.
  6. You will receive an email notifying you when we have received your return and when we credited your account.
  7. African Unique will refund your credit card for the purchase amount less shipping and handling within 14 business days of receipt of your return, however, we do not control the billing cycle your financial institution will allow your credit to appear on your credit card statement.
  8. You are responsible for all return shipping charges associated with your returns.

 

Return Policy for In Store Purchases

  1. An original receipt dated within 3 days of purchase is required for all returns in our stores.
  2. No returns will be accepted after 3 days of purchase.
  3. All returns must be accompanied by a photo ID (driver's license, state issued non-driver ID, passport, or military ID) and a valid proof of purchase.
  4. All returns are subject to a third-party verification process and system approval. Your ID information and return transaction history may be collected and entered into our processor's system where permitted by law. We reserve the right to limit or refuse any refund.
  5. Items bought as in store purchase cannot be returned by mail.
